Some Alpaca garments can be machine washed at 30 degrees but for most, ideally, a gentle hand wash in warm water and rinse well. Spin dry to remove any excess water and dry flat. Reshape whilst damp and press with a steam iron if necessary. Do not use fabric conditioner or tumble dry. Alpaca can be dry cleaned.
Fur Products
To clean fur products, cover lightly with talcum powder and gently work into the fur. Shake off the excess and brush to separate the hairs. Alternatively, the fur can be surfaced washed with warm water - do not soak - then dry with a hair dryer and brush to separate the hairs.
